To help restore a more peaceful environment, the City of Miami Beach is piloting a new Quiet Zone Pilot Program aimed at reducing disruptive sounds during late evening and overnight hours. The city will evaluate this year-long pilot for effectiveness before deciding to expand it to other parts of the city.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This pilot program is aimed at the people who create so much noise with their vehicles that they become a neighborhood nuisance,&#8221; explained <strong>Laura Dominguez, vice-prefeita de Miami Beach<\/strong>, who sponsored the initiative. &#8220;I hope this will be an important step at increasing the quality of life for our residents.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The pilot will take place in the South of Fifth neighborhood and will address some of the most persistent nighttime disruptions &#8211; including engine revving, modified exhaust systems and loud amplified sound from vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Como parte do programa, a cidade instalou grandes placas de alum\u00ednio amarelo brilhante que alertam os motoristas de que est\u00e3o entrando em uma Zona de Sil\u00eancio designada, onde multas podem ser aplicadas.
