MB Alert

Emergency & Traffic Notifications

MB Alert is the City of Miami Beach’s official emergency text notification system, ensuring the community receives timely, critical information directly on their phones.

Text "MBALERT" to 888777 to sign up to receive traffic updates and public safety notifications from the City of Miami Beach right to your phone.

Park & Recreation Text Updates

Program, Facility & Event Notifications

Miami Beach Parks and Recreation offers text message alerts for program updates, facility closures and special events. To start receiving messages, sign in at register.miamibeachparks.com and select “Opt‑in for Text Alerts” under your profile name.

Towing Alert

Text Before Tow - Parking Warning Texts

Registered Miami Beach residents receive a 15‑minute grace period with real‑time tow alerts. If you already have a Miami Beach residential parking permit or are enrolled in a parking program, you’re automatically included and will begin receiving texts.

Not all violations qualify for a warning. Vehicles parked in a traffic lane, a no‑parking zone, a disabled space without authorization or a freight loading zone may be towed immediately

Register for a residential parking permit:

Online: by visiting register.miamibeachparking.com.

In-person: at the Miami Beach Customer Service Center (1755 Meridian Ave, 1st floor) with a photo ID, vehicle registration and proof of residency.

Building Department Notifications

Inspection Route Notifications

Keep track of your building inspection route with optional text alerts. When you opt in, you’ll get timely updates on your inspection status, including a confirmation notice sent the morning of the inspection as well as a route update when the inspector has only a few stops left before arriving at your location.

How to opt in:

Click here to Schedule your inspection through the Civic Access Portal.

Select the option to receive SMS text message notifications for Building Inspection notifications.

Include the cell phone number of the on-site contact.
