GRUPO 1
Monica’s community advocacy runs deep. She has served on the board of Miami Beach United and held seats on two Miami Beach committees: the Committee for Quality Education and the Commission for Women, appointed by the late Commissioner Mark Samuelian. Since 2009, she has been an active member of the Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association.
Although deeply rooted in Miami Beach, Monica grew up in Michigan and is a proud graduate of Michigan State University’s James Madison College, where she earned a degree in Social Relations and Public Policy. Her professional career has focused on nonprofit management, with experience at national organizations as well as local institutions such as Miami Dade College’s Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy.
For sixteen years, Monica has consistently rolled up her sleeves to support and improve her community. She now intends to fight for her community and keep MIami Beach clean, safe and fun.
