Resumen
The City of Miami Beach has partnered with BrightStar Credit Union, a new addition to the Mid-Beach business community, to offer a free financial readiness series designed to help local businesses strengthen their financial foundations, navigate challenges, and plan for future growth.
A new addition to Miami Beach’s financial services community is already making connections with local businesses. BrightStar Credit Union, which recently established a presence in Mid-Beach, has partnered with the City’s Economic Development Department to offer Brighter Business, a free four-week Small Business Financial Readiness Series.
The partnership reflects the City’s commitment to welcoming new businesses while creating opportunities for them to engage with and support the local business community. By connecting BrightStar’s financial expertise with the City’s business assistance initiatives, the program provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with practical tools to navigate challenges and build long-term financial stability.
Launched October 22, the virtual series addresses common challenges facing small businesses, including construction-related disruptions, seasonal fluctuations in customer traffic, and financial planning. Topics range from building a strong financial foundation and planning for employee benefits to accessing capital and protecting businesses against fraud.
Upcoming sessions include:
November 5 | Capital Pathways: Connecting Small Businesses to Resources: Explore financial resources and opportunities to support business operations and growth.
November 12 | From Knowledge to Action: Fraud Prevention for Your Business: Learn strategies to identify financial risks and protect business operations.
Both sessions are held virtually from 4 to 5:15 p.m.
The series also connects participants with the City’s broader business support network through Business Concierge Day on November 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Miami Beach City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, second floor. This in-person event provides an opportunity for business owners to connect with City departments and community partners for guidance on licensing, permitting, and other business needs.
Through partnerships like this, Miami Beach continues to strengthen its business ecosystem by connecting local entrepreneurs with valuable resources while encouraging newly established businesses to become active partners in the community.
Participation is free. Learn more and register at mbbiz.gosmart.org.
