Hurricane season officially begins on June 1, 2025.  In preparation, the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) is implementing a series of proactive, safety focused measures to support and protect guests, staff, vendors, and Miami Beach community. These preparations reflect Miami Beach’s commitment to readiness, resilience, and responsible operations throughout the season

Key steps include:

- A dedicated Weather & Hurricane Preparedness webpage featuring direct access to City of Miami Beach resources and National Hurricane Center guidance.1

- Enhanced connectivity tools, including MBAlert text alerts (text MBAlert to 888777), the Ready Miami‑Dade app, and real time live updates on social media.

- Close coordination with local emergency teams, hotel partners, and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) to monitor traffic patterns, evacuation routes, and other emergency protocols.

As we enter May, the City of Miami Beach and MBCC encourages visitors, exhibitors, and event planners to review personal emergency plans and subscribe to official alerts. Taking these steps now ensures that all are well positioned for a safe and informed start to the season.
