Miami Beach remporte le prix du budget – pour la 24e année consécutive

Miami Beach, Floride – For the 24ème straight year, the City of Miami Beach has received a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association, representing the city’s professionalism in preparing the Fiscal Year 2026 Adopted Budget. The award is the highest form of recognition in government budgeting.

“Earning this distinction is a commitment to our residents that every tax dollar is respected and every decision is made with discipline and integrity,” said Steven Meiner, maire de Miami Beach. "We recognize that this is the hard-earned money of our community, and we treat it that way—ensuring every dollar is invested wisely to strengthen the infrastructure and services that keep Miami Beach world-class.”

The city’s Office of Management and Budget also received special recognition for its presentation of strategic goals and strategies. This indicates that all three award reviewers gave the city the highest possible score in that particular category.

“One of the most important tasks of any city is to be a good steward of the people’s money,” added Eric T. Carpenter, directeur municipal de Miami Beach. “This award is a reflection of the excellence and professionalism demonstrated by the city’s Office of Management and Budget in leading the 2026 budget process.”

Pour être admissible au prix du budget, la ville a satisfait aux normes nationales reconnues en matière de présentation budgétaire efficace. Ces normes visent à évaluer l'efficacité du budget comme document de politique, plan financier, guide opérationnel et outil de communication.

Since the inception of the Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program in 1984, award recipients have pioneered efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and serve as a role model for other government organizations throughout North America. The association advances excellence in government finance by providing best practices, professional development, resources and practical research for more than 22,500 members and the communities they serve.
