As part of our Urban Forestry Master Plan, the Pine Tree and La Gorce Drive neighborhoods will benefit from planting efforts to increase tree canopy coverage citywide. To date, the program has planted over 1,800 trees in neighborhoods across the city. Staff will identify the mark of the new tree locations with a tag. Please find the list of species below:

• Green Buttonwood
• Spanish Stopper
• Bayrum
• Pink Tabebuia
• Mahogany
• White Tabebuia
• Bridal Veil
• Ficus Citrifolia

Please keep in mind that residents do not have the option to choose which trees are planted in the ROW. Species were carefully selected based on site conditions and neighborhood aesthetics. To view which tree will be installed on your property, please click here.

Canopy trees provide numerous residential perks, including improved neighborhood aesthetics and environmental benefits, such as:

• Reducing surface temperatures
• Stormwater management
• Air quality
• Enhanced property values
• Walkable communities
• Improving our tree equity score

This project will take place in select residences along La Gorce Drive and Pine Tree Drive.
