Miami Beach Permit Application Instructions


The Film & Print Office is currently open to visitors by appointment only.
Virtual meetings are strongly encouraged, and no walk-ins will be accepted at this time.

As part of Miami Beach’s March safety initiatives, City Wide Film & Print Permits will be restricted as described below, within the MXE and CD-2 districts only (see attached map),  all film, photography and print activities are permitted between 1st and 5th  Streets and 23rd  Street to the North, Pennsylvania Avenue to the West and the Atlantic Ocean to the east along with public beach areas. Within these areas, the following applies:

  • City Wide permits will not be valid Thursday through Sundays, or between 4pm and 5am Monday through Wednesdays.
  • Larger site specific productions will be considered on a case by case basis for operations on Monday through Wednesday from 5am to 4pm only.

The City of Miami Beach Film & Print Office, is a division of the Tourism & Culture Department. The Film & Print Office coordinates and permits all film, video, photography and other media uses when utilizing public or residential areas of Miami Beach.
