—Auditions are now open for musicians 18 and under —
Miami Beach, FL – The City of Miami Beach and the Rhythm Foundation are inviting young musicians to audition for the 11th Annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival, which will take place on Saturday, March 6, 2027. The deadline to apply is Friday, Dec. 11, 2026.
"A family-friendly city is one that gives young people opportunities to discover their talents and reach their potential,” said Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner. “The Youth Music Festival does exactly that by giving young musicians a stage to perform, grow and connect with our community. We look forward to seeing the incredible talent they bring to Miami Beach.”
To apply, musicians 18 and under must complete an online form at www.miamibeach.rocks and submit audition links.
The event is open to bands or individuals who perform live music of any genre — rock, jazz, Latin, electronic, folk, classical, funk or the spoken word. At least one member of each band must be a resident of Miami-Dade County with the average age of the group being under 18 at the time of the Youth Music Festival on March 6, 2027.
“The Miami Beach Youth Music Festival is a great example of what we love to do: building community through music and creating opportunities for the next generation of artists to feel like rockstars for the day,” shared Rhythm Foundation Executive Director Adam Ganuza. “These young musicians get to share their creativity with their friends, their families, and their neighbors, all while experiencing the energy and professionalism of a real live festival. We’re proud to help create that memory for them and for our city.”
Auditions will be reviewed in mid-December and participants will be notified by Thursday, Dec. 31. Acts that are chosen to perform will receive an honorarium. For more information, send an email to info@rhythmfoundation.com or call 305.672.5202.
