Miami Beach, FL – Join the City of Miami Beach on Tuesday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m. outside the Miami Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Ave.) to launch the expansion of its complimentary Freebee on-demand transit service to include more portions of North Beach.

“Free and reliable public transportation transforms how our residents live and move. Our partnership with Freebee — a Miami-based pioneer using 100% electric vehicles — reinforces Miami Beach’s future as a cleaner, more efficient city,” said Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner.

The expanded Freebee service in North Beach will begin on May 27 to transit stops, homes, residential buildings, hotels, commercial establishments and city garages within the North Beach and Mid Beach geo-fenced service areas (see attached map).

“Expanding Freebee in North Beach makes it easier for residents and visitors to get around safely, sustainably, and at no cost,” added Miami Beach Commissioner Alex Fernandez, who sponsored the measure. “It’s another step toward a more connected, car-optional Miami Beach that puts people first.”

To request a free Freebee ride, please call 855.918.3733, download the Ride Freebee mobile app on your smartphone, or hail a Freebee street-side. To learn more, visit www.RideFreebee.com.
