The City of Miami Beach Economic Development Department joined regional leaders, site selectors, and international business stakeholders at the SelectUSA spin-off event hosted by the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, where Economic Development Director Steven Anthony participated in the panel discussion, “Municipality Insights: Growth, Infrastructure & Support.”

Moderated by Ilona Vega Jaramillo, VP of Economic Development at the Beacon Council, the conversation explored how municipalities across Miami-Dade are positioning themselves to attract and support global investment. Steven Anthony joined Luis Amor, Economic Developer for the City of Doral, to discuss the importance of regional collaboration, infrastructure readiness, business-friendly services, and long-term economic strategy in creating an environment where companies can successfully launch and scale.

During the discussion, Steven highlighted Miami Beach’s approach to economic development through targeted business support, streamlined navigation services, and initiatives designed to help companies establish roots and grow within the community. The panel also touched on the growing international interest in South Florida as a gateway to the U.S. market and the role municipalities play in fostering innovation, connectivity, and quality of place.
