Miami Beach helped spotlight South Florida’s next generation of innovators at the 2026 eMerge eMpower Pitch Competition. Twelve startups pitched their ideas before an audience of investors, executives and community leaders, with Miami Beach Economic Development Director, Steven Anthony, serving as one of the competition judges.
Four winning startups each received a $3,500 grant and a fast-track opportunity to participate in the 2027 eMerge Global Startup Accelerator + Showcase, helping promising founders take the next step toward growth, investment and greater visibility.
The event builds on the Economic Development Department’s ongoing partnership with eMerge Americas to support entrepreneurship, connect businesses with resources and investment opportunities, and strengthen Miami Beach’s position within South Florida’s growing technology and innovation ecosystem.
