Miami Beach Unveils Soccer World Cup Safety Preparations
MIAMI BEACH, FL — As World Cup 2026 season kicks off, the City of Miami Beach will hold a press conference on Tuesday, June 9 at 12 p.m. on Ocean Drive and 5th Street to outline public safety measures in place to protect residents and visitors.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, the city will implement enhanced public safety staffing, crowd‑management protocols and comprehensive traffic plans. Community Emergency Response Team volunteers will be available for first‑aid needs at 10th Street and Ocean Drive from June 5–7 and on June 11. They will also be on site at the Sand Bowl on July 18 and 19. The briefing will emphasize a unified law and order approach.
