Summary

Miami Beach welcomed local businesses to its 2026 Procurement Vendor Fair & Workshops, offering a hands‑on look at how to compete for City contracts. Attendees met with department representatives, explored upcoming opportunities, and learned key steps for vendor registration, bidding, and compliance. With in‑person and virtual workshops, the event strengthened connections and expanded access for vendors citywide.

The City of Miami Beach hosted its Procurement Vendor Fair & Workshops on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Miami Beach City Hall, bringing together local businesses, entrepreneurs, and City departments for a day focused on opportunity, access, and connection.

The event gave vendors the chance to meet directly with City staff, learn about upcoming solicitation opportunities, and gain a clearer understanding of how to navigate the City’s procurement process. Procurement staff provided guidance on vendor registration, insurance requirements, bidding procedures, and other key steps needed to successfully compete for City contracts.

Throughout the morning vendor meet-and-greet session, attendees connected with representatives from multiple City departments to ask questions, explore future partnership opportunities, and better understand upcoming project needs. The event reinforced the City’s ongoing commitment to supporting small businesses and creating more accessible pathways for companies interested in doing business with Miami Beach.

The afternoon workshops offered hands-on training focused on Procurement & BidNet Direct, as well as the Procurement & LCP Tracker system. Both in-person and virtual participation options helped expand access for businesses unable to attend onsite.

By combining education, networking, and practical procurement guidance in one setting, the Procurement Vendor Fair & Workshops helped strengthen relationships between the City and the business community while encouraging broader participation in future contracting opportunities.
