Bayshore Traffic Calming

The City of Miami Beach will install traffic calming improvements throughout the Bayshore neighborhood. As part of this initiative, a combination of speed tables and cushions, traffic circles and intersection improvements will be placed throughout the neighborhood.

These upgrades are intended to enhance safety by reducing vehicular speeding and discouraging cut‑through traffic in Central Bayshore South.

The traffic calming improvements will be placed throughout the Central Bayshore South neighborhood at the following locations:

• Prairie Avenue between Dade Boulevard and West 37 Street
• N Meridian Avenue between Dade Boulevard and West 28 Street
• West 28 Street between Meridian Avenue and Sheridan Avenue
• Chase Avenue between Alton Road and West 40 Street
• Royal Palm Avenue between West 28 Street and West 42 Street
• Sheridan Avenue between West 28 Street and West 40 Street

This project is anticipated to take approximately 7 months to complete, with construction expected to begin in September 2026.

• Construction equipment and workers will be present in the area.
• Resident access to properties will be maintained at all times during construction.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
• Traffic patterns may change due to temporary closures and detours.
• Temporary parking restrictions will be in place and enforced. Please follow all posted signage.
