Beach View Park Improvements

The project includes replacing the existing playground furniture and exercise equipment, installing new landscaping and upgraded irrigation systems, adding outdoor furnishings, and laying new pavers throughout the park. In addition to these elements, the scope also encompasses a variety of general park improvements intended to enhance the park’s overall functionality and aesthetics.

Improvements will take place within the exsiting park site, located at 5301 Collins Avenue.

Construction is scheduled to begin March 2026 and take approximately 8 months to complete, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stakeholders can expect:

• Moderate levels of construction noise are expected during the day.
• Machinery and workers will be present on the job site. Residents and visitors are advised to use caution when crews are present and to follow all posted signage.
• Public access to Beach View Park will be restricted for the duration of the project.
• Beach access from parking lot P72 will be maintained throughout the project.
• Parking lot P72 will remain accessible during the course of construction.
• Select parking spaces within parking lot P72 will be temporarily closed for equipment staging.
• The construction zone will be enclosed by fencing, which may affect adjacent sidewalks.
