Shane Watersports

Project Overview:

The City is planning the replacement of approximately 380 linear feet of seawall, which will be upgraded with a new seawall system and cap, set at elevation 5.7 feet, approximately three feet higher than the existing structure. This elevation increase enhances shoreline protection and long‑term resilience.

The project also includes the installation of a new floating dock and access ramps, along with upland site improvements designed to provide ADA‑compliant access throughout the waterfront area.

New Updates
  • Permit applications submitted to the regulatory agencies remain under review, and the consultant is actively negotiating for the issuance. Final approvals from DERM and FDEP are anticipated in Summer 2026 upon review completion, with USACE processing expected to follow thereafter. Upcoming milestones include submitting the 90% Construction Documents to the building department for review and initiating the Invitation to Bid (ITB) process once all permits are obtained.
