Sunset Islands 2 & 3 Infrastructure Upgrades

Project Overview:

The City of Miami Beach is upgrading the water and sewer infrastructure in Sunset Islands II and III. This project involves the replacement of a decommissioned subaqueous water main and sewer main, ensuring enhanced infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency. The pipes will be installed via Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD): an advanced trenchless technology used to install underground utilities with minimal surface disruption. Once completed, this project will provide the necessary infrastructure upgrades to support the neighborhood's growing demands.
