Stormwater Modeling and Master Plan Update

Project Overview:

The City is embarking on a vital project to enhance its Stormwater Master Plan and Stormwater Model. This initiative is driven by three key objectives: first, to pinpoint stormwater enhancements on a city-wide scale that will effectively mitigate flooding during extreme weather events, particularly under the demanding 10-year, 24-hour design storm condition; second, to craft a comprehensive water quality treatment strategy spanning the entire city, aimed at safeguarding the ecological health of Biscayne Bay; and finally, to formulate a comprehensive implementation plan encompassing both Neighborhood Improvement Projects and Critical Needs Projects.

The final Master Plan will undergo rigorous evaluation and consideration by the City Commission prior to implementation, ensuring that the City's vision for stormwater management aligns with the needs of its residents and the environment alike.
