Cuban-born multidisciplinary artist Amanda Linares is based in Miami, Florida. Her work explores universal themes of identity, displacement, absence and reconnection through diverse media, including drawing, installation, artist books and photography. Linares employs a poetic language, engaging with narration and space by incorporating reflection, transparency, found objects and typographical elements.

She holds a technical degree in printmaking from San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba, and a BFA in graphic design from New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida.

In September 2024, Linares presented the site-specific immersive solo exhibition Yo vengo de todas partes, y hacia todas partes voy at Piero Atchugarry Gallery. Additionally, in August 2024, she debuted her first solo museum exhibition, Dialogues Across Walls, at the Coral Springs Museum of Art. This year, she presented her first outdoor sitespecific installation, Day Before Yesterday, at the Deering Estate, honoring Indigenous tribes of South Florida. Her work has been exhibited at Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum, Fredric Snitzer Gallery, Dot Fiftyone Gallery, Oolite Arts and Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami, Florida, among others. Notably, her piece Donde Comen Dos, Comen Tres (Where Two Can Eat, Three Can Eat) was acquired by The Bass Museum in 2023 and included in their permanent collection.

Linares participated in the 2025 Florida Prize in Contemporary Art exhibition at the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA). She joined the Home + Away program residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts (2021) and MASS MoCA (2023), both in collaboration with Oolite Arts.

She is the recipient of the South Florida Cultural Consortium FY 2024- 2025 Fellowship, the 2022 Ellies Creator Award by Oolite Arts, and the 2023 Corral & Cathers Artist Fund Award by the Coral Gables Community Foundation. Currently, she is part of the 2025 studio residency program at Oolite Arts.
