Business and Concierge Licensing Day in Miami Beach

Delivering services well is a critical facet of Miami Beach’s business environment. The Miami Beach Economic Development Department is continuously working to design business assistance programs and initiatives that offer technical and financial assistance to business owners seeking to start and/or expand their operations or implement new business models.

In August, the City hosted the third Business and Concierge Licensing Day at City Hall. The event provided entrepreneurs with one-on-one support on how to navigate opening, licensing, permitting, and/or expanding a business in Miami Beach.

Designed as a true “one-stop shop,” the event presented representatives from multiple City departments, including Building, Planning & Zoning, Finance, Procurement, and the Fire Department, in a central location allowing access and ease to services, expertise, and solutions.

Entrepreneurs received direct guidance from key partner agencies such as the Small Business Administration (SBA), Miami-Dade County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM), and the Miami-Dade County Tax Assessor’s Office, ensuring that questions could be answered across all levels of government in one place.

By streamlining access to information and support, Business and Concierge Licensing Day continues to make it easier for entrepreneurs to launch and grow their businesses in Miami Beach. The program reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to reducing barriers, promoting efficiency, and helping business owners succeed.
