On February 19, 2026, the City of Miami Beach hosted entrepreneurs, property owners, and prospective business operators at City Hall for Business-Ready Day, a comprehensive resource event designed to streamline doing business in Miami Beach.

Permits, plans, applications, timelines. We bring the right people to the table so businesses leave with clarity, not questions.

Business-Ready Day convened representatives from key City departments, including Planning and Zoning, Building, Finance, and Fire, and in partnership with Miami‑Dade County Tax Collector’s Office, and the Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM).  The quarterly event brings agencies responsible for licensing, permitting, and regulatory compliance to one location, offers coordinated, real‑time guidance, and assesses business owners navigating from inquiry to implementation.

One conversation can change the trajectory of a business. These one-on-one sessions help cut through confusion and keep projects moving.

Businesses received individualized support from Business Tax Receipts, zoning and land‑use requirements, plan review pathways, operational compliance, business expansion assistance, and more. For many, the ability to engage directly with multiple departments, in a single setting, offers clarity on next steps and project timelines.

Direct access. Real answers. Business Ready Days connects entrepreneurs face to face with the agencies and partners they need to move forward.

In addition to regulatory assistance, the event featured resource partners from business development to access to capital. Representatives from BrightStar Credit Union provided information on business banking and financing opportunities, and CareerSource offered workforce tools to support hiring, training, and long‑term operational sustainability.

Business-Ready Day reflects the City’s broader economic development strategy: to attract, retain, and support businesses through accessible services, cross‑departmental collaboration, and proactive engagement. Whether an entrepreneur is launching a new concept, expanding an existing operation, or navigating compliance requirements, the City of Miami Beach Business Concierge team remains available to provide guidance throughout the process.

Miami Beach is committed to being a responsive and reliable partner in their success.

This quarterly initiative is designed to offer consistent, accessible support to local businesses and will return May 21, August 20, and November 19 at Miami Beach City Hall.
