Participation in the Development of Annual Action Plans

Each year, the City of Miami Beach goes through a thorough citizen participation process, including community-wide public hearings to identify and discuss community needs. After needs have been identified, the City issues an RFP (Request for Proposals) that invites organizations serving the community to apply for funding from the federal programs mentioned above. The results of this process are made available to the public for comment and review for 30 days, and ultimately, to the City Commission for final approval. The Division publishes two documents, the Consolidated Plan, which outlines long-term strategy (3-5 years) for the use of funds; and the annual One-Year Action Plan, which describes an annual plan for the use of funds. Both documents are available for public review and comment (see below). Any interested person may comment and participate in this process. For additional information and a schedule of public meetings contact the Division at 305.673.7260.
