Youth And Family Services

The Office of Community Services serves and advocates for all those who live, work and play in the City of Miami Beach through partnerships, coalitions, and special initiatives. Our services include rent/ utility assistance, serving as a community referral agency, and serving as an ACCESS Florida site for the Department of Children and Families.

Additionally, through grant support from The Children Trust, the office provides a variety of programming such as:

  • Miami Beach All Stars Program – A program promoting positive resiliency skills to Nautilus Middle School students.
  • Family Pathways – A Family and Neighborhood Support Program serving families with children in the Miami Beach community.
  • The Parent-Child Program -A Parenting program focused on teaching and promoting positive parenting skills.

Our office offers a variety of programs for youth enrolled in our Miami Beach Feeder Pattern schools. Call 305.673.7491 for more information and eligibility requirements.

If you are homeless in Miami Beach, call 305.604.4663, Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. for direct staff assistance or stop by our office at 555 – 17th Street. After a short intake and assessment, our office can assist you with emergency shelter, relocation services (if you have family or friends willing to provide you help in another city within the contiguous United States), transportation tokens and referrals to food, clothing and more.

The Office of Community Services provides rental and utility assistance, upon fund availability. If funds are available, applicants must apply at https://apps.miamibeachfl.gov/housing to receive an appointment.
