Expanded Water Taxi Schedule Keeps Miami Beach Moving During World Cup Finals Weekend

Miami Beach, FL – Nonstop World Cup action reaches a fever pitch this weekend as the City of Miami Beach, in partnership with The Rhythm Foundation and the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee, hosts official watch parties in North Beach for the Bronze Final and FIFA World Cup Final matches, with simultaneous live screenings taking place in Lummus Park just off iconic Ocean Drive in South Beach.

To help fans get to the championship festivities, the city’s popular free water taxi service will operate on a special weekend schedule, complemented by expanded trolley and shuttle services.

“We've had the privilege of welcoming soccer fans from all over the world during World Cup 2026,” said Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner. “As we head into this unforgettable final weekend, we're making it even easier for everyone to enjoy the excitement - with free watch parties from North Beach to South Beach and expanded free water taxi and shuttle service to help fans move around seamlessly.”

WATCH PARTIES

North Beach watch parties will take place at the Sand Bowl, adjacent to the Miami Beach Bandshell located at 7275 Collins Avenue during the following times:

• Bronze Final: Saturday, July 18 at 5 p.m. Gates open at 3 p.m.
• FIFA World Cup Final: Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. Gates open at 1 p.m.

Concurrent city-sponsored watch parties will take place in Lummus Park at Ocean Drive and 14 Street for both matches.

FREE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

To accommodate championship weekend crowds, Miami Beach will provide free water taxis, shuttles and enhanced trolley service on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19.

Miami Beach Water Taxi Service

Free water taxi service between Venetian Marina (Miami) and Maurice Gibb Memorial Park area (Miami Beach) will run every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Water Taxi Shuttle Bus Service

Water taxi shuttle bus service will run every 15 minutes from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Shuttle Buses from the Water Taxi to Watch Parties

• To North Beach: Shuttle buses depart from the water taxi landing at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park (18 Street and Purdy Avenue), stop near the 400 W 42 Street Garage on the west side of Sheridan Avenue, just north of 41 Street (Trolley Stop #219), and end at the Miami Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Avenue).
• To South Beach: Shuttle buses depart from the water taxi landing at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park (18 Street and Purdy Avenue), stop at the 17 Street Garage between Euclid Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue (Trolley Stop #100), and continue to Washington Avenue between 11 and 12 streets (Trolley Stop #106), a short walk from Lummus Park.

Shuttle Buses Returning to the Water Taxi from the Watch Parties

• From North Beach: Board the shuttle in front of the Miami Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Avenue). The shuttle will stop near the 400 W 42 Street Garage on the west side of Sheridan Avenue, just north of 41 Street (Trolley Stop #219) before arriving to the water taxi at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park.
• From South Beach: Board at Washington Avenue between 11 and 12 streets (Trolley Stop #106). The shuttle will stop at the 17 Street Garage between Euclid Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue (Trolley Stop #100) and return to the water taxi at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park.

Park-and-Ride Shuttles

Park-and-ride shuttles will run every 10 minutes from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.

• Route 1: Shuttles will travel from the soon-to-be-opening 67 Street parking garage, picking up on the 67 Street side of the garage, to the Miami Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Avenue).
• Route 2: Shuttles will operate from the surface parking lots on 83-85 streets (Trolley Stop #308 located on the east side of Collins Avenue north of 83 Street) to the surface parking lot at the North Shore Branch Library at 7501 Collins Avenue (Trolley Stop #304 located on the east side of Collins Avenue south of 76 Street).

The city will also increase service on key Miami Beach Trolley routes throughout the weekend to meet anticipated demand.

Ongoing citywide transportation will continue to operate throughout the weekend with the free Miami Beach Trolley service and Freebee. Real-time trolley tracking is available through the Miami Beach Gov app.

Miami Beach also offers miles of Beachwalk and green bike lanes, along with extensive bicycle parking citywide. View the city’s bicycle parking maps for more information. For added convenience, Citi Bike provides more than a thousand traditional and electric‑assist bicycles at stations throughout the city. Please note that e‑bikes and e‑scooters are not permitted on the Beachwalk or shared‑use paths.

The Parking Department will implement enhanced staffing to ensure enforcement of residential zones and orderly parking operations.

Temporary barricades, traffic control measures and parking restrictions will be in place in portions of the affected areas to support pedestrian safety and event operations. Visitors should observe all posted signage and parking regulations.
