—The city will host a food drive on Nov. 7 —
Miami Beach, FL – The City of Miami Beach is setting up a food distribution event on Friday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. to assist residents as a result of the ongoing U.S. government shutdown.
"Our residents quality of life is my highest priority," said Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner. "This food drive is yet another demonstration that Miami Beach puts its residents first."
The food distribution event will take place at the parking lot located at 4000 Chase Avenue. The city is considering additional events as the federal government shutdown continues.
