FROM CONNECTION TO IMPACT: LEGACYCON 2025

The 11th Annual Black Professionals Summit, LegacyCon 2025, brought together a powerhouse community of professionals, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders for three days of inspiration, strategy, d connection. Held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL on November 14, 2025, the event challenged attendees to elevate their game and lead with purpose in every professional arena.

Hosted by the Black Professionals Network (BPN), a nonprofit dedicated to advancing careers, powering businesses, and building social capital, LegacyCon continues to be a catalyst for legacy-building and inclusive growth.

Session Highlight: Powering Prosperity

Among the many standout sessions, “Powering Prosperity: How Businesses Plug Into a Region's Economic Engine” sparked meaningful dialogue around how opportunity is intentionally created through collaboration. Moderated by Anthony Bonamy, the panel featured city and county leaders, including Steven Anthony, Director of Miami Beach Economic Development, Cassneve Oupelle, Director of the NW 79th Street Corridor Community Redevelopment Agency and Nancy Metayer Bowen, Vice Mayor of the City of Coral Gables, who shared insights on aligning business strategies with regional growth priorities. Panelists explored how businesses can tap into procurement pipelines, innovation districts, and redevelopment projects to drive equity and innovation. The message was clear: prosperity is a shared effort, and when public and private sectors work together, communities thrive.

Steven Anthony remarked “It was inspiring to join an esteemed panel and explore how businesses can move beyond participation to ownership and influence. Miami Beach and Greater Miami are leading the next wave of growth—and we’re building ecosystems where inclusive prosperity is the standard.”

Legacy in Action

LegacyCon 2025 wasn’t just a conference, it was a space where professionals became legacy builders, where ideas turned into action, and where the future of inclusive prosperity was shaped by those bold enough to lead it.
