Liz Ferrer and Bow Ty, known collaboratively as LIZN’BOW, are a dynamic duo whose work spans digital art, tech, sculpture, public art, music, video and performance. For nearly a decade, they have critically engaged American and Latin pop culture through a queer and comedic lens, building a reputation for their innovative approach.

Their practice encompasses two primary bodies of work: Niña, a feminist reggaeton band challenging traditional genre norms, and LIZN’BOW, a new media collaborative utilizing technology, digital tools and community building to explore social and creative possibilities. This year marks the premiere of their Creative Capital and NEFA-funded piece, Novelas de Niñas, slated for a national tour next year, alongside a performance and a month-long Midnight Moment with Times Square Arts.

LIZN’BOW’s work has been featured at institutions such as P.A.M.M. Museum, Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, MOCA North Miami, Headlands Center for the Arts, A.I.R Gallery, Locust Projects, and the Museum of Modern Art Santo Domingo, among others.

They are recipients of numerous accolades, including the Creative Capital Wild Futures Award, NEFA Development & Touring Grant, Knights Art Challenge, Franklin Furnace Award, PAM CUT Labs Fellowship, and the Oolite Arts Ellies Award (2019, 2022).

LIZN’BOW has completed residencies and fellowships at prestigious organizations such as MacDowell, Headlands, Ucross, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Caldera Arts Residency, and Mana Contemporary Studio Residency.
