Private Property Adaptation Seawall Expedite Program
The City of Miami Beach is awarding up to $20,000 in matching funds to selected applicants for seawall improvement projects. Property owners with seawalls that are low, deteriorating, or not in compliance are encouraged to apply. * The Private Property Adaptation (PPA) Seawall Expedite Program is exclusively for property owners interested in seawall improvement projects. Both residential (single and multi-family homes) and commercial property owners are eligible to apply. Â
Qualifying Low-to-Moderate Income property owners will not be required to match funds – the City will fund the project up to $20,000.
Applications are being accepted for seawall projects only, on a rolling basis until program capacity is reached. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received
*All applications will be evaluated and prioritized according to available funds. Application does not guarantee funding. Applicants must provide proof of flood insurance and an elevation certificate to be eligible.
- The property is located in the City of Miami Beach.
- The applicant is the property owner.
- The property is residential (single-family or multi-family) or commercial.
- The property has an active flood insurance policy and a sealed elevation certificate.
- The property is in good standing with the City: no pending City fees or fines, and no litigation with the City of Miami Beach.
