Short-term Rental Requirements

Required Documents:

  • Letter from the Association that short term rental is allowed for your specific unit(s), dated within the last 60 days. Please note: if the Association does not have an active BTR, they are required to have their BTR approved prior to the release any Short-Term Rental BTR for the individual unit(s). 
  • Written notice that Property Owner has received, reviewed, and recognized that the use of the residential property as a short-term residential rental could result in the loss of the homestead exemption 
  • Provide the name and contact information for all hosting platforms, advertisement platforms and short-term residential rental advertising platforms on which the residential property is, or will be, listed for rent 
  • Resort Tax Registration 
    • Photo ID and signatures of all operators (authorized members) on application
  • Notarized Affidavit 
    • Must include the property owner name(s), address with unit number, and BTR number 
    • Original affidavit must be dated and submitted via mail or in person within two (2) weeks of issuance

  • Occupational Code: 95017301 – Short-Term Rental – Non-Residential
