Marriage License

Couples wishing to marry in the state of Florida must complete the Marriage License Online Pre-Application and make an appointment to complete the process of obtaining the marriage license. To schedule an appointment, you will be asked for the application confirmation number. A Florida marriage license allows a couple to get married anywhere in Florida, regardless of the county the license was purchased from. There is no residency or citizenship requirement to apply for a Florida marriage license. However, if you are getting married outside of the state of Florida, you need to obtain the marriage license from that state or country where you will be married.

Due to COVID-19, the Central Marriage License Bureau is issuing marriage licenses on a limited basis by appointments only, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Marriage License Bureau is currently not accepting walk-ins until further notice.

Marriage ceremonies are not conducted at Miami Beach City Hall.
