A state of the art 12,885 square foot ice skating rink. Our rink is home to many programs for children and adults that include figure skating, ice hockey, open sessions, private lessons, birthday parties and rentals. The ice rink has bleacher seating for spectators and two handicapped accessible restrooms conveniently located nearby.

Ice skating is a great way to exercise and have fun at the same time! The Miami Beach Skating Academy is a program of Learn to Skate USA. Learn to Skate USA is the only skating program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, US Speedskating, Special Olympics, and offers every participant a rewarding experience rooted in the lifelong benefits of ice skating. Our group skating lessons provide children and adults of all ages and abilities the best way to learn the fundamentals of ice skating. Lessons include: 30 minute lesson once a week followed by a 15 minute practice session, 5 minute question and answer session for parents with instructor at the end of the session, rental skates for the lesson, test certificates and badges for passed levels, Learn to Skate USA magazine, and a record book with stickers. ICE HOCKEY
Lessons
All lessons must be paid prior to entering the ice rink.
Full equipment is required for all of our hockey programs. Equipment needed: helmet with face mask, shoulder pads, hockey skates, hockey sticks, hockey gloves, mouthpiece, neck guard, elbow pads, hockey pants, shins guards and hockey socks.

The after school and summer camp programs offered at the North Shore Park & Youth Center for children in grades K – 5 fill up quickly. Children and teens can participate in a wide variety of activities such as sports, homework help, special events and much more. Tennis Court Bookings
Miami Beach Tennis Center is a public tennis facility open to everyone! Courts can be rented by the hour. Court reservations can only be made beginning 7:30AM the day prior. Reservations for singles can be made for 1 hour & doubles for 2 hours. We have 10 Har-Tru courts and 2 hard courts. Make sure to specify if you have a preference. Cancellations must be made by 7PM (via text) the night prior or charges apply.
Our software platform is called Court Reserve. This system will allow you to book courts and lessons online, view your transaction history, receive event reminders and receipts, integrate with your personal calendar, and more.

Youth Tennis Programs
This one-hour class is designed to introduce tennis as a fun sport to children aged 5-7. Students learn forehands, backhands, and volleys as well as scoring and parts of the court. Quickstart format is used that enables students to learn more control of the ball through the use of low-compression red and orange tennis balls and smaller nets.

Quickstart format is used that enables students to learn more control of the ball through the use of low-compression green tennis balls and full-size nets. Classes are offered every weekday.
This one-hour class is for those who have graduated from recreational tennis and have more stroke control. It is designed to focus on the technique of each of the strokes, as well as learning to sustain a rally from the baseline. 2 days per week is mandatory in order for juniors to get a good level of repetition needed for improvement.
Registration for this level is only available for those approved by the head coach.
The Pre-Academy is for the more serious student, as well as the more advanced. Classes are one and a half hours and include skills, drills, and match play. Students must be able to serve and rally consistently. All participants must attend 2 days per week.

The academy is for the serious junior who competes at a local, sectional, and national level. Players practice for two hours, three times a week and compete in tournaments at least twice a month. Courts are limited to four players per court in order to maintain a high quality of instruction.

Our private lesson prices range from $85 to $100 for the hour. Court fees are included in the lesson fee and the fee includes up to one additional person. The Scott Rakow Youth Center was built in 1976 to serve the teens of Miami Beach. It has now grown to serve children and adults of all ages with a variety of recreational activities. The Youth Center is a multi-faceted facility that houses an ice skating rink, outdoor swimming pool, six bowling lanes, gymnasium, arts and crafts center, game room, media room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, music room, and computer lab. We also offer a variety of classes for children of all ages, adults, and seniors that include: swimming, ice skating, hockey, and sports leagues.

The City of Miami Beach wishes you a safe and fun filled pool experience.
There are currently 11 designated Bark Parks and one Bark Beach within the City of Miami Beach available for your canine family. Bark parks offer off-leash play for dogs and socializing for owners. Each park includes amenities like double fenced dog runs, water fountains, benches, and waste disposal. Trash service is provided daily, with renovations done without fully closing the parks. Qualifications/Experience and Skills:
• High school student (ages 14 – 17)
• Experience working with children (preferred)
• Participation in a PAL program or Teen Club (preferred)
• Strong and competent swimmer, comfortable in outdoor settings (preferred)
Camp for Tots:
Half day 8-week camp designed for children 3-4 years old. Birth certificate, proof of residency and immunization records required / for registration. Child must be potty trained and must have turned 3 prior to the start of camp.
