Mystery Rider Program

The Mystery Rider Program provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall quality of the City of Miami Beach’s municipally funded public transportation network. Mystery riders take one of the bus/trolley routes scoring across a broad range of factors such as: cleanliness of the seating, comfort of the stop areas, and visibility around drop of/pick-up locations. Mystery riders are also trained on monitoring headway (time between vehicles along the same route) and take this into account when grading reliability. These measures are used to examine areas of strength, room for growth, and provide key feedback for our transportation partners.
