While glitter, balloons and plastic decorations may be eye-catching at a party, they are harmful to marine life and pollute waterways.

Balloons along with plastic and metallic confetti, glitter, tinsel, synthetic flower petals and mylar streamers are prohibited in public marinas, parks and beaches.

Environmentally friendly decor alternatives include, natural fiber or paper-based garlands, banners, streamers, pompoms or pinwheels, natural flowers, bubble-blowing solution and kites. Click here to learn more...
