This procedure explains what an employee should do upon electing to separate from service with the City of Miami Beach:

  • When resigning or retiring from service, an employee shall send written notification to his/her supervisor at least two (2) weeks in advance of resignation.  Timely notice is important to ensure that an employee’s separation from service is recorded in good standing.  In accordance with the City’s leave ordinances, payouts of accrued annual and sick leave are paid to employees who are removed or who resign in good standing.
